The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the company commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions involving female individuals.
The company did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works in total, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
