Barça Set to Play First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in La Liga over two years since relocating for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. After final construction, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said finished work included a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.
Preparatory Events
Barça organized a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium on 7 November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side in December at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
