In a surprising crossover event that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the formal statement, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret sect.
The questline centers on "strange tests and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses
The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the quest will receive an unique katana together with multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This patch also introduces the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "The Mystery."
